Pics from Munich
encouter days, in preparation for the WYD Koln 2005
in the morning, we arrived by train at the hop-ban-hoff (hehe, main train station)
then we lost 2 hours gathering everybody, giving instructions (noone heard them, becoz in the evening we lost two girls who had a shopping urge //rest reassured, we found them again)
and then, everybody wanted to buy phone cards to call home (because in our village there were no phone cards) and then everybody shopped in Munich instead of trying to catch the WYD spirit (that's the curse of Midlle-East groups)
after the big mass in the evening, i saw this kid and his mother with a sunflower. It looked so nice
of course this fact got me a BIG icecream and we talked a little bit, met a lebanese guy from tripoli in the same time...
After that, our group, Syrian and Lebanese danced dabke in the MarienPlatz and we were joined by Iraki Kurds living in germany, and mexicans and many others. It was truly international
briefing (bahdalé) by abouna Hanna
after that we gathered ourselves and went to the train station, but two girls were missing! we had counted them at the gathering but somehow they got distracted on the road (shopping?) so we didn't catch the BAHN (train) and we found them again and this got us 1h30 late (our host families were already waiting for us at Rosenheim)

And just before leaving, we saw a guy who was selling stuff to gather money for his mariage (a German tradition), i think the girls bought from him a 3euro rose or something.
At the end of the day, i went to get an icecream, and guess what, the icecream girl is Polish!!!

I am in Munich, in an internet cafe.
we have a meeting with the youth and the cardinal in 1/2 hour now.
i did a little tour of the old town, ate with (another) group from syria, met ecuadorians, croatians, italians, andd of course POLSKA.
also got a sim card, and phone cards, called lebanon w heik....
bavaria is beatifull !!! Paradise on earth, poeple are nice, alot of beer... i drank at least 6 1/2 liters yesterday (stopped counting ;-) )
